Who is behind the work

Josh Pearsall runs MVP Roofing Newcastle, the local company behind this site. MVP's own focus is metal roofing: new Colorbond and Lysaght roofs, full re-roofs, guttering, gutter guard and storm damage repairs, for homes and light commercial buildings across the region.

Josh runs the business on a few plain rules. Give owners a straight answer about what their roof needs, with a clear written price before anything starts. Turn up when we say we will and keep people told how the job is going. Put quality ahead of speed, work safely, and treat every property, garden and driveway as if it were our own.

Behind the work is more than 15 years in the roofing industry, across tile and metal roofs, restorations, repairs and new work. The business is based in Newcastle and covers the whole city along with Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland, Cessnock and the Hunter Valley.

The work covers the full roof: restoration, leak and storm repairs, new roofs for new builds and extensions, full replacements, gutters, flashings, skylights and written roof reports for storm claims, purchases, strata and commercial sites. For metal roofing, gutters and flashings we supply Colorbond and Lysaght steel.

Local conditions shape how we work. Salt air near the coast, storm and hail seasons, leaf litter around the lake and the range of housing from Victorian terraces to post-war brick veneer all change what we look for on a roof and how we specify the fix.

How we work

Every job starts with a free on-site inspection. We get on the roof, check the tiles or sheets, ridges, flashings, valleys and gutters, and look in the roof space where we can. Then you get a straight verdict: repair, restore or replace, and why. We quote what the roof needs, not what makes the visit worthwhile, and you get a written quote before any work begins. During the job the roof is made watertight at the end of each day, and at the end we walk through the finished work with you.

We offer a 10-year workmanship warranty. It covers workmanship, not materials; ask us how it applies to your job.

The Google reviews on our homepage were posted between 2019 and 2023, before the business's current company was incorporated in 2024. We show them word for word, with their dates, so you can judge them for yourself.

Because we work on both, we have no reason to push you toward one material. Some roofs restore well; some are better replaced, and sometimes a change from tile to metal makes sense.

✔️ A tidy, watertight site

The roof is left watertight at the end of each working day, and the yard and gutters are cleaned up as the job goes. A roofing job should not leave you picking tile chips out of the garden.
